Tanishka Chugera: The Journey of BEYOND Goodbye

BEYOND Goodbye is more than a book—it is a piece of Tanishka Chugera’s heart and a tribute to the unbreakable bond she shared with her mother. The journey began on 18th June 2022, when she unexpectedly lost her beloved mother to a brain aneurysm. Her world changed in an instant, leaving her devastated and searching for meaning in the midst of unimaginable grief.

What followed was a remarkable journey of healing and spiritual awakening. Through butterflies, feathers, hearts, dreams, and moments that seemed impossible to explain, Tanishka began experiencing signs that made her feel her mother’s presence in a completely different way. These experiences led her to explore meditation, intuition, automatic writing, and a deeper understanding of the soul’s eternal connection.

The book beautifully weaves together cherished memories of a mother-daughter relationship, the pain of loss, and the extraordinary experiences that followed. It takes readers through her grief, her search for answers, and her gradual transformation from heartbreak to hope and purpose.

At its core, BEYOND Goodbye is a story of love that transcends physical separation. It is a reminder that although our loved ones may no longer be beside us, the love we shared with them continues to guide, comfort, and remain within us forever.

Because the world may say goodbye, but love never does. 🦋❤️

LiFT: Why did you choose this title?

Tanishka Chugera: I chose the title BEYOND Goodbye because my journey taught me that goodbye is never truly the end of love. When I lost my mother on 18th June 2022, the world expected me to accept that she was gone forever. But through signs, dreams, memories, and moments of deep connection, I began to feel her presence in a different way.
I realized that while death may end a physical presence, it does not end a relationship. Love changes form, but it never disappears. The bond between a mother and daughter, and the love we share with those we have lost, continues to exist beyond what we can see and touch.
BEYOND Goodbye represents hope, healing, and the belief that some connections are eternal. It is a reminder that even after the hardest goodbyes, love continues to guide us, comfort us, and remain with us forever. 🦋❤️

LiFT: When did you realize that you wanted to be a writer, and what was your inspiration behind it?

Tanishka Chugera: I never planned to become an author. The idea of writing a book was born from grief and love. After losing my mother unexpectedly on 18th June 2022, my world changed completely. I missed her deeply and found myself searching for ways to feel close to her again.
As time passed, I began experiencing signs, dreams, and moments that made me feel her presence in a different way. I started writing down my thoughts, memories, letters to my mother, and the experiences that were helping me heal. Gradually, I realized that my journey was not just my own—it was a story that could bring comfort and hope to others who had also experienced loss.

My mother became my greatest inspiration. BEYOND Goodbye was written to honor her memory, celebrate our unbreakable bond, and remind people that while our loved ones may no longer be physically beside us, love never truly leaves us.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Tanishka Chugera: Ten years from now, I hope to be known as an author whose words have brought comfort, hope, and healing to people navigating grief and loss. I aspire to write more books that explore themes of love, spirituality, healing, and the enduring connections we share with those we love.
Beyond writing, I hope to create a supportive community where people feel seen, heard, and understood in their journeys of loss and healing. More than awards or recognition, my greatest aspiration is to know that my words have made someone feel less alone and reminded them that love never truly ends. 🦋❤️

LiFT: How important do you think marketing and the quality of a book are in promoting it and increasing its readership?

Tanishka Chugera: I believe that both quality and marketing play equally important roles in a book’s success. A well-written, authentic, and meaningful book creates an emotional connection with readers and encourages them to recommend it to others. Quality is what makes a book memorable and gives it a lasting impact.
At the same time, even the most beautifully written book needs visibility. Effective marketing helps the book reach the right audience and allows its message to be discovered by more people. In today’s digital world, social media, reader engagement, and word-of-mouth recommendations play a significant role in increasing readership.
For me, quality is the heart of a book, while marketing is the bridge that connects that book to its readers. Both are essential in ensuring that a story reaches and touches as many lives as possible.

LiFT: What message do you want to convey to people through your writing?

Tanishka Chugera: Through my writing, I hope to remind readers that love never truly ends. Even though we may lose someone physically, the bond we share with them continues to exist through memories, love, and the impact they leave on our lives.
I want my words to offer comfort to those navigating grief and reassure them that they are not alone in their pain. Through themes of love, healing, hope, and spirituality, I encourage readers to remain open to the possibility that our loved ones continue to guide and inspire us in ways we may not always understand.
Above all, I hope my writing helps people transform their pain into purpose and find light even in their darkest moments.
Because the world may say goodbye, but love never does. 🦋❤️

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Tanishka Chugera: Apart from writing, I am a devoted homemaker and mother of two. I have a deep interest in spirituality, meditation, and personal growth, and spend time exploring themes of healing, intuition, and the enduring connections we share with our loved ones.

I am passionate about creating meaningful conversations around grief, hope, and emotional well-being through my online community, where I share my experiences and messages of comfort. I also enjoy storytelling, connecting with people from different walks of life, and finding beauty and purpose in everyday moments.

At the heart of everything I do is my desire to inspire others, spread love and hope, and remind people that even in life’s most difficult moments, healing and light are always possible. 🦋❤️

LiFT: What activities do you resort to when you face writer’s block?

Tanishka Chugera: When faced with writer’s block, I believe in stepping away from the pressure of writing and allowing inspiration to flow naturally. I often turn to meditation, spend quiet moments in reflection, journal my thoughts, or simply reconnect with my emotions and memories.
I also find inspiration in nature, meaningful conversations, and spending quality time with my family. Sometimes, taking a pause and embracing stillness helps me gain a fresh perspective and return to writing with renewed clarity.
For me, writer’s block is not a lack of creativity but an invitation to slow down, reconnect with myself, and trust that the right words will come when the time is right. 🦋❤️

LiFT: What if your story were to be adapted into a movie? Who would you want to work as the director or actors in it?

Actor for me (Tanishka Chugera) – Alia Bhatt
She conveys vulnerability, strength, and deep emotions exceptionally well.
Actor for my mother(Bhavana Chhabria) – Tabu

LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If so, could you tell us something about it?

Tanishka Chugera: No, I am not currently working on my next book, but I look forward to beginning that journey soon. Writing BEYOND Goodbye has been a deeply meaningful experience, and I am excited to see where my next story and inspiration lead me.

LiFT: What are your suggestions for budding writers and poets to help them improve their writing skills?

Tanishka Chugera: My advice to budding writers and poets is to write from the heart and stay true to your voice. Do not wait for perfection or the right moment to begin—just start writing. Read widely, observe the world around you, and allow your experiences and emotions to inspire your words.

Writing is a journey of patience and growth. The more you write, the more you discover your unique style. Most importantly, do not be afraid to be vulnerable. The stories and poems that touch people the most are often the ones written with honesty and authenticity. Keep learning, keep creating, and never stop believing in the power of your words.
