LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it and its content.
Anshoo: My book is a collection of original horror short stories, titled “The Dark Whispers” it will take the readers on a chilling journey through the realms of fear and darkness.
I wanted to try my hand in writing horror because of being an avid horror fan who has not only read horror stories starting from R.L Stine’s goosebumps, tales of the crypt, tales of the supernatural, etc. but also seen movies and being fascinated with the supernatural since i can remember.
I also have herd of ghost towns, like Bhangarh fort, lived in an supposedly haunted hotel in Yellowstone park.
I also have herd of tales of haunted roads and mirages that can be a danger to travelers.
So some of the inspiration came from the above scenarios.
I wont say that I haven’t had any supernatural experiences my self but I am not sure if that is what I would call them.
Writing this book has been tough but not too much as I have written before but not for publishing and certainly not in the current capacity.
It is true that inspiration can come from a lot of places as when you will read my book you will get to know the different and unique situations the characters find themselves in.
For example: I was once thinking about my journey to the sand dunes in Dubai and my good experience there from which I wrote the horror the Deep Descent.
For example: I once was traveling with my family somewhere and the route took us through a road which had dense forests on either side and abandoned houses were sprinkled here and there. From there I got the inspiration of the horror story called the old house.
