LiFT: Tell us about the theme of the anthology and how did you get to know about it?

Sonali Bandyopadhyay: The theme of anthology is sentiments and emotions. How some emotions are spoken while some remain buried in the silence of what we call living. I was encouraged by some of my fellow writers to write in this anthology.

LiFT: What inspired you to write for this particular anthology?

Sonali Bandyopadhyay: The poem I wrote for this anthology is titled ‘Ocean of Secrets’. It matched perfectly with the title of the anthology Unspoken Sentiments as the poem itself conveys that when does a heart becomes an ocean of secrets.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Sonali Bandyopadhyay: I see my self having written atleast 100 plus more songs and poems.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Sonali Bandyopadhyay: I love music too. I compose and write songs as well.

LiFT: What if your readers demanded that you convert your short story into a full-fledged novel? Would you do that?

Sonali Bandyopadhyay: Definitely, would love to.

LiFT: What are your suggestions to the budding writers/poets so that they could improve their writing skills?

Sonali Bandyopadhyay: Keeping writing, keep expressing. Everything that you do keeps getting better with time.
