About Vihaan Jindal

Vihaan Jindal is a young Indian author with a passion for crafting stories that blend imagination, emotion, and striking visual depth. He writes with a cinematic touch, drawing readers into worlds that feel alive and larger than life. His debut novel, Parallel Lines, marked his entry into contemporary fiction and established him as a fresh voice with a bold vision. He followed it with The Life I Chose, a sweeping narrative that explores time, love, rebellion, and the consequences of human ambition.

Guided by what he calls his “own code of wisdom,” Vihaan writes to spark curiosity and reflection in his readers. He believes that stories are more than just entertainment—they are journeys into the choices that define us and the futures we create. Through his work, he aims to inspire readers to think deeply, feel deeply, and embrace the power of imagination.

LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it, and its content.

Vihaan Jindal: The book originally meant to be the story of a young boy who through life changed his perspective about the way he lives and became somewhat successful in winning life. However, my mind changed when I thought maybe this title deserves more than what I had in mind. Something more epic, adventurous and moreover, fiercely romantic. And by time and way, I was able to deliver one of the ‘epic’ from my world of imagination.

LiFT: Why did you choose this title?

Vihaan Jindal: ‘The Life I Chose’ isn’t just a title. It’s a feeling. Its a rhythm followed by the complexities one faces through time. And maybe everything is a fixed point. Everything we do or are supposed to do, maybe it’s all fixed or a choice.

LiFT: When did you realize that you wanted to be a writer, and what was your inspiration behind it?

Vihaan Jindal: I never really wanted to be a writer. I was just so into writing things, making up stories, poems… And there was one day, when I found myself among the people who knew what he wanted. I realized I do want to share my story with the people of the world. But the way I want to deliver them is through my stories and poems.

LiFT: How important do you think marketing and the quality of a book are in promoting it and increasing its readership?

Vihaan Jindal: I think marketing is a huge thing to be dealt with. You can’t really wait for people to find you on their own and read your stories. And to reach the wider audience, one must put through a hell lot of efforts to reach a significant readership.
As for quality of a book, i don’t think if the good readership will ever judge a book for its physical quality. Its always about the story.

LiFT: What message do you want to convey to people through your writing?

Vihaan Jindal: No secret/hidden messages. Just that I want people to feel connected to my story as they try reconnecting with theirs.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Vihaan Jindal: I am student, play guitar, am a sport-person.

LiFT: What if your story were to be adapted into a movie? Who would you want to work as the director or actors in it?

Vihaan Jindal: For Actors-
Vandal- Robert Patinson
Dahaa- Anne Hathway
Hyperman/Observer/Steve- The Rock
Director- Christopher Nolan

LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If so, could you tell us something about it?

Vihaan Jindal: Yes, I am currently working on a book but it’s still in the storyline development phase… so can’t really say anything about it.

LiFT: What are your suggestions for budding writers and poets to help them improve their writing skills?

Vihaan Jindal: That’s quite an interesting thing to think.
