LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it and its content?

Shraddha Handigi: The journey of writing is not easy, it requires us to immerse ourselves in a new world. We must evaluate our work to determine its accuracy, as our writing will be read by others. I have explored a different style by crafting a motivational book filled with poetic reflections that share my experiences. Remarkably, it took only seven days to write my first book. I believe the content is powerful enough to inspire positive change and motivate you.

LiFT: Why you chose this title?

Shraddha Handigi: I chose this title because of my perspective on the world. Life is akin to a journey, and we play an integral role in it. We must demonstrate to the world the purpose of our existence. It is essential to contribute meaningfully, and the insights and actions inspired by this conviction are shared throughout this book.

LiFT: When did you realize that you want to be a writer and what’s your inspiration behind it?

Shraddha Handigi: Becoming a writer has been my dream since childhood. I began writing in those early years, inspired by my family. Coming from a lineage of writers has always motivated me. Many friends have told me that my writing style is exceptional, and they have encouraged me to pursue a career as an author.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Shraddha Handigi: I consider myself a reader because, without reading books, it’s challenging to begin writing. If you want to gain any insight into how to write a book, you should read at least two to three books.

LiFT: How much do you think marketing or quality of a book is necessary to promote a particular book and increase its readers?

Shraddha Handigi: Without good quality, a book won’t sell. Marketing is essential for every author to achieve success. By promoting their work, readers will become aware of it. The quality of a book is determined by its content. Good content does not require excessive pages.

LiFT: What is the message you want to spread among folks with your writings?

Shraddha Handigi: You are your own source of motivation. Your life circumstances will necessitate finding that motivation within yourself. Trust in yourself, trust the process, and have faith in God. During your toughest moments, no one is likely to come to your aid, so it is essential to stand strong on your own.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Shraddha Handigi: In addition to writing, my hobbies include singing and photography. Singing has been an integral part of my life since childhood, and I strive to sing in more than five languages. I also aim to capture the beauty of the world around me through my photography. Furthermore, I am a video editor.

LiFT: What are the activities you resort to when you face a writer’s block?

Shraddha Handigi: When I encounter writer’s block, I take a break or listen to a song. I also go outside to refresh my mind, allowing me to write comfortably without feeling rushed.

LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If yes, please tell us something about it.

Shraddha Handigi: Yes, I am currently working on my next book, which will be a non-fiction piece. In it, I will explore strategies for overcoming challenging situations and effortlessly developing a positive mindset. Writing this book will require more time and dedication.

LiFT: What are your suggestions to the budding writers/poets so that they could improve their writing skills?

Shraddha Handigi: First, create a structured plan and approach the process with confidence. Be mindful of what you are writing, as it will be read by others. Take your time and avoid rushing. Ensure you are comfortable with your writing.
