LiFT: Tell us about the theme of the anthology and how did you get to know about it?

Joyce Jomon George: This anthology is a work woven with soulful words expressing various emotions, ideas and themes. It is a thread with beads of words to be read and relished!

LiFT: What inspired you to write for this particular anthology?

Joyce Jomon George: Threads of Words seemed to resonate with my desire of conveying my emotions through my poems. It inspired me to be a part of different perspectives and works of talented writers.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Joyce Jomon George: I wish to write more and publish my second anthology of poems.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Joyce Jomon George: I am a teacher. I love to read and explore opportunities for English language teachers.

LiFT: Are you working on your own book? If yes, please tell us something about it.

Joyce Jomon George: Yes, I am working on my next book. I intent to revisit my childhood experiences and convey the joy, lessons and disappointments in my journey through my poems.

LiFT: What are your suggestions to the budding writers/poets so that they could improve their writing skills?

Joyce Jomon George: Read a lot, explore different styles, learn from others but develop your own style of writing, be open to suggestions but remember that you know your ideas and how you wish to express yourself more than anyone else. Trust yourself and just write!
