About Isha Saraswat

Isha Saraswat is a young poet and Grade 10 student who turns emotions into words and moments into meaning. Her poetry reflects her curiosity, imagination, and the thoughts that often remain unspoken. Her work in Unspoken Sentiments marks the beginning of her journey as a writer. She hopes to keep exploring the power of words and the stories they can tell. For her, every poem is a small piece of the heart, given a voice.

LiFT: Tell us about the theme of the anthology and how did you get to know about it?

Isha Saraswat: The anthology explores emotions, thoughts, and feelings that often remain unspoken. I came across it through the author’s page on Instagram, and the idea immediately caught my attention.

LiFT: What inspired you to write for this particular anthology?

Isha Saraswat: The theme inspired me to express emotions that are often difficult to put into words. I wanted my poem to capture a feeling that many people experience but rarely talk about.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Isha Saraswat: Ten years from now, I hope to see myself as a confident writer with my own voice and a collection of work that connects with readers. I would love to explore poetry as well as other forms of writing.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Isha Saraswat: Apart from writing, I am a Grade 10 IGCSE student. I enjoy studying, participating in school activities and competitions, and exploring new creative interests.

LiFT: Are you working on your own book? If yes, please tell us something about it.

Isha Saraswat: I am not currently working on a book, but I hope to write and publish one in the future. For now, I am focusing on discovering my voice as a writer and experimenting with different forms of poetry and storytelling.

LiFT: What are your suggestions to the budding writers/poets so that they could improve their writing skills?

Isha Saraswat: Read widely, write regularly, and most importantly, write honestly. Do not be afraid to express your own thoughts and emotions, even when they feel different. Keep experimenting, accept feedback, and remember that finding your unique voice takes time.
