LiFT: What inspired you to write for this particular anthology?
Hema Matalia: Since I am an author by profession and words are the threads through which I bind my stories, I thought it would be interesting to write a poem on it.
LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?
Hema Matalia: Writing, writing and writing more.
LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?
Hema Matalia: Fill my art journal, watch crime shows or just watch the world go by.
LiFT: What if your readers demand you to convert your short story into a full fledged novel? Would you do that?
Hema Matalia: Would love to give it a shot.
LiFT: Are you working on your own book? If yes, please tell us something about it.
Hema Matalia: Yes, I have just completed writing my second crime thriller and sent it out to publishers. The familiar stranger marked my debut in crime thrillers.
LiFT: What are your suggestions to the budding writers/poets so that they could improve their writing skills?
Hema Matalia: The more you write the better it gets.
