About Palak Jasmera
Palak is a young author who loves to write when she is free. She finds pleasure in her writing and enjoys spending time with words. They feel soothing and comfortable.
LiFT: Tell us about the theme of the anthology and how did you get to know about it?
Palak Jasmera: This book is about love, about sacrifice, about how life makes you feel about the emotions that you cannot state explicitly. It is a book that would dive anyone to their emotional depths. I had, actually, heard about this anthology from one of my english teachers.
LiFT: What inspired you to write for this particular anthology?
Palak Jasmera: I had always wanted to present my feelings to other people, which was really very difficult to state through conversations. So, why not do it through words, through writings? That was what had inspired me the most.
LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?
Palak Jasmera: To be honest, I don’t know. But one thing is clear for sure, that I would never quit writing, would never stop conveying what I want to.
LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?
Palak Jasmera: I am a student and am preparing for my IGCSE’s.
LiFT: What if your readers demanded that you convert your short story into a full-fledged novel? Would you do that?
Palak Jasmera: Yes, obviously! And would be delighted to do so. As this is what an author wants!
LiFT: Are you working on your own book? If yes, please tell us something about it.
Palak Jasmera: Currently, no… but some future plans to do so, are there.
LiFT: What are your suggestions to the budding writers/poets so that they could improve their writing skills?
Palak Jasmera: They all are great! They have so much of mastery on their vocab, on their language that as a student and as a reader, I feel they write perfect.
