About Vivaan Karulkar

Vivaan Karulkar is a young prodigy from New Bharat, recognized for his exceptional contributions to science, literature, and thought leadership. At just 19, he has already achieved remarkable milestones, including securing an in-principle patent at the age of 15 for detecting Near Earth Objects, making him one of the youngest innovators globally.
He began his literary journey at 16 with The Sanatan Dharam: True Source of All Science, followed by The Sanatan Dharam: True Source of All Technology at 17, and later authored Elon Musk: The Man Who Bends Reality at 18 establishing himself as a consistent and impactful young author.
His work has been acknowledged at global platforms such as the United Nations, and he is the youngest recipient of a citation and medallion from the Indian Army. Through his writing, Vivaan presents ancient wisdom alongside modern science, inspiring the youth toward visionary thinking.

LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it, and its content.

Vivaan Karulkar: The Sanatan Dharam: True Source of All Technology is my second book, written at the age of 17 as a continuation of my exploration into ancient Indian knowledge systems. While my first book focused on science, this work extends the perspective into the domain of technology.

The book was formally launched by prominent dignitaries including Shri Mohan Bhagwat, ISRO Chairman Shri S. Somnath, and Nobel Laureate Shri Kailash Satyarthi, marking a significant milestone in my writing journey.

Through this book, I present the idea that many technological concepts we consider modern have conceptual roots in ancient Vedic knowledge. It explores themes such as advanced systems, innovation, and applied knowledge through references from scriptures and philosophical texts.

The journey of writing this book was driven by deeper research, reflection, and a growing conviction to present these ideas to the modern world in a structured and thought-provoking manner. My aim was to encourage readers to look at technology not just as modern advancement, but as an evolving expression of knowledge that has existed for centuries.

LiFT: Why did you choose this title?

Vivaan Karulkar: I chose this title to highlight the perspective that Sanatan Dharam encompasses not only philosophical and scientific depth but also technological insight. The title is intended to provoke curiosity and encourage readers to explore these dimensions more deeply.

LiFT: When did you realize that you wanted to be a writer, and what was your inspiration behind it?

Vivaan Karulkar: I realized my inclination toward writing at the age of 16 while working on my first book. My inspiration came from a strong desire to present the depth of Sanatan Dharam in a way that resonates with the modern generation and encourages independent thinking.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Vivaan Karulkar: Over the next ten years, I see myself as a globally recognized author and thought leader, contributing to literature that explores science, technology, and deeper intellectual inquiry. I aim to create work that challenges perspectives and inspires meaningful thinking.

LiFT: How important do you think marketing and the quality of a book are in promoting it and increasing its readership?

Vivaan Karulkar: I believe the quality of a book is fundamental, as it defines its long-term impact. At the same time, marketing is essential to ensure that the work reaches the right audience. Both play equally important roles in building credibility and visibility.

LiFT: What message do you want to convey to people through your writing?

Vivaan Karulkar: Through my writing, I aim to encourage people to think beyond conventional narratives, explore knowledge deeply, and recognize the depth of our intellectual heritage. I want to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a forward-thinking mindset.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Vivaan Karulkar: Apart from writing, I am currently studying astrophysics and remain actively engaged in scientific exploration, innovation, and philosophical inquiry. I also participate in discussions and platforms where ideas related to science and Sanatan Dharam are explored and shared.

LiFT: What activities do you resort to when you face writer’s block?

Vivaan Karulkar: When I face writer’s block, I turn to reading, research, and meditation. These help me regain clarity and reconnect with my thought process.

LiFT: What if your story were to be adapted into a movie? Who would you want to work as the director or actors in it?

Vivaan Karulkar: If adapted into a film, I would prefer a director like Christopher Nolan, who can present complex ideas with depth and clarity. I would envision a film that focuses more on ideas and intellectual exploration rather than just events.

LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If so, could you tell us something about it?

Vivaan Karulkar: Yes, I continued my writing journey with my third book, Elon Musk: The Man Who Bends Reality, which explores innovation, futuristic thinking, and the mindset required to achieve extraordinary goals.

LiFT: What are your suggestions for budding writers and poets to help them improve their writing skills?

Vivaan Karulkar: I would suggest aspiring writers to read extensively, think independently, and write consistently. Focus on originality, clarity, and meaningful content rather than following trends.
