About Sanjeet Sen
Sanjeet is a marketer by day, storyteller by heart, and football coach on weekends. He has spent over two decades navigating the world of sales, marketing and strategy, across leading MNC’s where every day has been a new adventure. Sanjeet holds an MBA and a Mechanical engineering degree, but his real education came from growing up across India, picking up five languages and a love for connecting with people. When the pandemic hit, he turned to football—launching virtual coaching sessions that kept kids moving and motivated across the country. He is also passionate about writing, blending his love for storytelling with lessons from inboxes, pitches, and playgrounds.
LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it, and its content.
Sanjeet Sen: “Wisdom doesn’t always come from textbooks. Sometimes, it comes from tea breaks, traffic jams, nursery rhymes, and lunch tables.”
This book is a collection of reflections, stories, and insights gathered from everyday life—moments that made me pause, think, and sometimes laugh out loud. It’s not a manual. It’s not a memoir. It’s a mirror.
In a world obsessed with speed, success, and social media, we often forget to slow down and ask ourselves: What really matters?
Through chapters inspired by running shoes, rhymes, mothers, and even malware, this book invites you to rediscover the extraordinary in the ordinary. It’s a reminder that life’s best lessons are often hiding in plain sight—waiting to be noticed, felt, and shared.
Whether you’re a student, a professional, a leader, or simply someone navigating the chaos of modern life, I hope these pages offer you a moment of clarity, a spark of inspiration, or just a reason to smile.
So, grab a cup of coffee, find a quiet corner, and let’s begin this journey of everyday wisdom—one story at a time.
LiFT: Why did you choose this title?
Sanjeet Sen: The title From Inbox to Lifebox reflects a journey—both personal and professional. It symbolizes the transition from being consumed by the constant influx of tasks to reclaiming life, purpose, and presence. It’s about moving from reactive living to intentional thriving, and I wanted the title to encapsulate that transformation.
LiFT: When did you realize that you wanted to be a writer, and what was your inspiration behind it?
Sanjeet Sen: Writing has always been a quiet companion in my life. I realized its power during moments of reflection—when I needed to make sense of the chaos around me. The inspiration came from everyday experiences, the people I met, and the stories that unfolded in the corridors of corporate life. Writing became a way to distill those moments into meaning.
LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?
Sanjeet Sen: Ten years from now, I hope to have built a body of work that resonates deeply with readers—books that not only entertain but also inspire introspection and change. I envision myself mentoring emerging writers, curating literary experiences, and perhaps even exploring storytelling through other mediums like film or theatre.
LiFT: How important do you think marketing and the quality of a book are in promoting it and increasing its readership?
Sanjeet Sen: Both are crucial. Quality is the soul of the book—it’s what keeps readers engaged and coming back. But marketing is the bridge that connects the book to its audience. In today’s crowded literary landscape, even the most brilliant work needs visibility. Strategic marketing amplifies the book’s reach and impact.
LiFT: What message do you want to convey to people through your writing?
Sanjeet Sen: My writing aims to remind people that life is more than deadlines and deliverables. It’s about connection, purpose, and presence. I want readers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the joy in the ordinary—to move from merely existing to truly living.
LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?
Sanjeet Sen: I lead Partner Marketing at Microsoft, where I work at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution. Beyond work, I enjoy mentoring, football coaching, and exploring creative outlets that fuel my curiosity and growth.
LiFT: What activities do you resort to when you face writer’s block?
Sanjeet Sen: When writer’s block hits, I step away from the desk. I turn to music, travel, or conversations with close friends. Sometimes, simply observing life around me—without the pressure to write—helps unlock new perspectives and ideas.
LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If so, could you tell us something about it?
Sanjeet Sen: Yes, I’m currently exploring themes around leadership and emotional intelligence in the workplace. The next book will likely blend narrative storytelling with actionable insights—something that speaks to both the heart and the mind of professionals navigating complex environments.
LiFT: What are your suggestions for budding writers and poets to help them improve their writing skills?
Sanjeet Sen: Write consistently, read widely, and don’t be afraid to share your work. Feedback is a gift. Also, observe life closely—some of the best stories are hidden in everyday moments. Most importantly, stay authentic. Your unique voice is your greatest asset.
