LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it, and its content.

Palak Chauhan: My book journey started from the year 2021, when I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Amity University Mumbai. My first book ‘Poetry Exhibit,’ was a collection of poems then slowly and steadily I switched my journey to spiritual books some of them being Hands of Devotion, song of Mata Sita Ramayana Reimagined, and Mystical chronicles of Lord Jagannath this is the first time I wrote a science fiction book and people have enjoyed and given their love and support for this book.

LiFT: Why did you choose this title?

Palak Chauhan: I chose this title because I know it does justice to the storyline, the glory of the Forsaken world and the endless wave of trust between the characters hence, I chose to give this title. Echoes of the Forsaken in itself screams so much about the book that there is a missing world and the characters have a responsibility to protect the world from evil forces trying to destroy planet Earth.

LiFT: When did you realize that you wanted to be a writer, and what was your inspiration behind it?

Palak Chauhan: Since my second grade I loved writing when I was in 5th grade I wrote a diary for 15 days straight about a trip with my family. In school also I would love to write essays, short story, and poetry. I always encourage by my teachers, fellow mates, and my parents that’s when I thought that I should try writing books and yes, I always wanted to be an author who wrote books for her readers.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Palak Chauhan: I would like to see myself in ten years as a successful Founder of Thought Lantern which is a monthly magazine started by me and a successful author indeed I also want a small fan army of me.

LiFT: How important do you think marketing and the quality of a book are in promoting it and increasing its readership?

Palak Chauhan: Yes they matter a lot because to reach the audience in bulk it’s necessary to market your books so that more and more people see what you have for them on the table than others.

LiFT: What message do you want to convey to people through your writing?

Palak Chauhan: I want to convey a simple message from my writing is that keep your voice alive and never give up on your dreams because so many people are still finding their path but you already have one.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Palak Chauhan: Apart from writing i am a founder of Thought Lantern magazine I work on ideas for my company and sometimes enjoy a good movie time or a spa which eases me a little.

LiFT: What activities do you resort to when you face writer’s block?

Palak Chauhan: Walking around the room, thinking of something else which makes me happy, leave the manuscript for sometime, doodle, or talk to my mom and dad.

LiFT: What if your story were to be adapted into a movie? Who would you want to work as the director or actors in it?

Palak Chauhan: I would love Margot Robbie to be a part of my film along with Priyanka Chopra because they are not only my inspiration but my favourite.

LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If so, could you tell us something about it?

Palak Chauhan: I can say that it will be about a magical train journey or a magical toy factory only for kids and adults can enjoy it too.

LiFT: What are your suggestions for budding writers and poets to help them improve their writing skills?

Palak Chauhan: My suggestion would be that they should keep a constant focus on their writing and they should read or watch some movies which can help them in mastering the writing skills.
