About Keshav Sapru

Keshav Sapru often finds himself at a loss for words, that’s why he writes them.

LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it and its content?

Keshav Sapru: Well, it all started when I had to write a story for a Scottish University in 2013, as a part of an SOP.

As time went on and new experiences, emotions and thoughts came my way, I wrote and wrote. Some surreal, some heartwarming, soke depressing, some political, etc.

LiFT: Why you chose this title?

Keshav Sapru: It comes from combining the sayings, struck a nerve and struck a cord.

LiFT: When did you realize that you want to be a writer and what’s your inspiration behind it?

Keshav Sapru: It was in a way, fated to be, I read and wrote from a young age, and our society today is more service oriented, long gone are the days that humanity used to roam unbound, here I am fulfilling my role.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Keshav Sapru: I’m not sure, much the same where I am now, with near zero recognition and zero money, but perhaps just a little more of each.

LiFT: How much do you think marketing or quality of a book is necessary to promote a particular book and increase its readers?

Keshav Sapru: It’s a fool’s errand, enjoy your book, share it with who you can, only a small fraction of books reach a stellar stand, and that to those with a broad message for the Zeitgeist not much else. If you want to make money from writing with a steady salary, join a research institution. If your book succeeds, congrats. 🙂

LiFT: What is the message you want to spread among folks with your writings?

Keshav Sapru: Think for yourself, don’t be too open-minded, your brains might fall out.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Keshav Sapru: Filming, walking, hiking, singing (casual), etc.

LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If yes, please tell us something about it.

Keshav Sapru: Yes, it’s a new collection of my most recent fiction and non-fiction, it is book number 5.

LiFT: What are your suggestions to the budding writers/poets so that they could improve their writing skills?

Keshav Sapru: Read, write, read, write, talk, read some more, write some more, talk, travel if you can, go to public libraries, download free PDFs, only if you grow to hate literature can you love it and be a good writer.

Be despised, and despise, then you can let the words flow angrily.
