LiFT: Tell us about the theme of the anthology and how did you get to know about it?
Bhairavi Birhade: The theme of the anthology is “Unspoken Sentiments.” I learned about it from an Instagram post.
LiFT: What inspired you to write for this particular anthology?
Bhairavi Birhade: The theme itself. Actually, I had already written this story before I came across this anthology post. It clicked for me after seeing the advertisement that I had already written a short story on the same theme. So just went ahead and submitted it.
LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?
Bhairavi Birhade: As an author of 3-4 books.
LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?
Bhairavi Birhade: I like reading & watching stories. I love music. I also paint sometimes.
LiFT: What if your readers demanded that you convert your short story into a full-fledged novel? Would you do that?
Bhairavi Birhade: Yes. I will try for sure.
LiFT: What are your suggestions to the budding writers/poets so that they could improve their writing skills?
Bhairavi Birhade: A great writer is a great reader first. So, read lots of books of various genres. And keep writing. And believe in yourself and your story. Because if we don’t believe in our story, nobody will.
