About Anusha Rhoda

Anusha Rhoda is an author, learning experience professional, and the creator of Healing in Silence, a platform dedicated to emotional well-being and self-reflection. Through honest storytelling inspired by her own lived experiences, she writes about anxiety, healing, resilience, and personal growth. Oh, Anxious Mind is her second published book, written to help readers feel seen, understood, and less alone in their journey toward healing.

LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it, and its content.

Anusha Rhoda: Oh, Anxious Mind was born from one of the most difficult seasons of my life. After experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, postpartum struggles, and emotional exhaustion, I realized how isolating it can feel when your loudest battles are invisible to everyone else. Writing this book became more than a creative project, it became a part of my healing journey.

The process was deeply personal. I revisited painful memories, journal entries, and moments I had once tried to forget. There were days when writing brought tears and days when it brought peace. My intention was never to write a book that simply talks about anxiety, but to create a companion that quietly sits beside someone who feels overwhelmed and reminds them that they are not alone.
The book combines memoir with practical reflections, exploring anxiety, overthinking, grief, relationships, motherhood, physical and emotional health, self-discovery, and the gradual process of healing. Rather than offering quick fixes, it encourages readers to understand their minds with compassion, embrace small steps toward recovery, and find hope in the midst of uncertainty.

Above all, I hope Oh, Anxious Mind helps start more honest conversations about mental health and reminds every reader that healing is possible.. One breath, one thought, and one day at a time.

LiFT: Why did you choose this title?

Anusha Rhoda: I was thinking of titles, this passed my mind and caught my attention the same minute. I could resonate with it strongly.

LiFT: When did you realize that you wanted to be a writer, and what was your inspiration behind it?

Anusha Rhoda: I’v always written poems, almost like every book you open will have something or the other written by me at home. Becoming an author was a dream come true to me. I’v been so inspired by authors putting their heart and soul in a book that can literally take us away to a different dimension of life.

LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?

Anusha Rhoda: I see myself still writing self-help books, poetries. Adding as much value as possible to people around me with what ever talent I have left.

LiFT: How important do you think marketing and the quality of a book are in promoting it and increasing its readership?

Anusha Rhoda: Marketing the book to reach the right people is very important. Also the book should feel good to hold, touch and feel. It’s a complete package, it’s a feeling.

LiFT: What message do you want to convey to people through your writing?

Anusha Rhoda: Through my writing, I want people to know that they are not alone. I hope my words help readers feel seen, understood, and accepted, especially during the moments they struggle to put their emotions into words. I want to encourage honest conversations about mental health, break the stigma around anxiety, and remind people that asking for help is a sign of courage, not weakness. Above all, I want every reader to close my book believing that healing is possible, not through perfection, but through self-compassion, one small step at a time.

LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?

Anusha Rhoda: Apart from writing, I work as a Learning Experience professional, designing learning solutions that help people grow and perform better. I also create content on emotional well-being through my platform, Healing in Silence, where I share reflections on anxiety, healing, and personal growth. I enjoy poetry, journaling, reading, and art as forms of self-expression and healing. I believe creativity has the power to start meaningful conversations and help people reconnect with themselves.

LiFT: What activities do you resort to when you face writer’s block?

Anusha Rhoda: Mostly fresh air, travel, A good conversation with a friend and definitely an enjoyable desert.

LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If so, could you tell us something about it?

Anusha Rhoda: Yes, it’s a fictional book. Mostly about Indian wives. Their expectations from life and what life actually gives them and suggestions to deal with it. I’m still generating ideas on it.

LiFT: What are your suggestions for budding writers and poets to help them improve their writing skills?

Anusha Rhoda: Keep your heart on the paper, be consistent in journaling. Practice makes everyone perfect. Let your heart talk. Get into the mode of flow and let your words flow.
