About Priy Yuvraj
Priy Yuvraj is a visionary author whose non-fiction gently unveils the wonders of human consciousness. From his early childhood days, a spark of curiosity in politics and philosophy drew him to the profound wisdom of Jiddu Krishnamurti and other visionaries, crystallizing his thoughts and inspiring him to write as a pure expression of inner truth. This foundation fueled his active role in co-founding a state-based NGO, where he crafted its 2-year policies, led management efforts, and empowered volunteers—teaching them how to serve others through initiatives in environmental conservation, women’s empowerment, and inclusive education. In his cherished hobby of daily meditation, he refines his thoughts and cultivates deep awareness, both for himself and to softly awaken others, drawing further inspiration from philosophical talks, lively debates, and immersive reads in kindred books, while completing his higher studies. Quiet moments in nature nourish this inner world, fueling his conviction that mindful awareness and ongoing unlearning foster personal peace and a kinder society. From these roots spring his idea-rich works, including The Art of Inner Revolution, Love: Not a Bond, But Consciousness, and The Infinite Unlearning. Coming soon: Sweetness of You Lie releases on May 8, with his debut novel, June-November Corridor, slated for May–July.
LiFT: Tell us about your book, the journey of writing it, and its content.
Priy Yuvraj: Writing The Infinite Unlearning has been less about creating a new philosophy and more about rediscovering a long-lost freedom. I wanted to write something that acts as a mirror, reflecting how we often mistake our inherited conditioning for our own original thought. We move through the world with a set of borrowed certainties—beliefs, values, and fears handed to us before we were even old enough to question them—and these layers quietly narrow our perception. This book is my invitation to peel those layers away. It is for those who feel the weight of these “already known” answers and wish to experience the vibrancy of life as it truly is, starting from a place of deep, silent observation rather than accumulated knowledge.
The journey to this book actually began with a conversation that stayed with me. Someone once asked me, “In your terms, what is Life? How do you define Death? And what is Marriage to you?” I told them that these questions aren’t just for me; they are for every human being who is born and, as a consequence, will certainly die. Life is a chance to make truth out of what you decide to be ambitious for; it is an opportunity to be a rational, logical, and pragmatic person who plays the game of life with determination. Death is simply the red light—the moment to stop and evaluate what you did with that opportunity. And Marriage? While it’s a social institution that gives us titles like “husband” or “wife” to live legitimately in society, it is truly about mutual cooperation. But when I shared this, they laughed and said, “Oh, please don’t preach! Life is just for enjoying, death is sorrow, and marriage is just about getting someone to do your work.” That moment struck me deeply. I realized how many people are trapped in beliefs they never actually learned, but were merely taught. I felt I had to write something that would lead people to think beyond those comforting illusions and loose the grip of a learning that was never truly theirs.
In terms of content, the book is structured to guide you through this process of shedding the old to see the new. We begin with The Illusion of Knowing and the Burden of Conditioning, where we look at how familiarity blinds us to reality. We then move into the Echoes of Belief and the Cage of the Mind, examining the mental prisons we build for ourselves. To break through, I discuss the Courage to Doubt as a necessary tool for liberation, leading into the Empty Space of Awareness where true understanding resides. The final chapters, such as the Rebirth of Perception, the Dance of Detachment, and the Serenity of Truth, are about the homecoming. They describe a state where the seeker and the witness become one, and truth is realized not as a destination, but as the very clarity of seeing that is available to us in every single moment.
LiFT: Why did you choose this title?
Priy Yuvraj: I chose the title The Infinite Unlearning because it reflects the endless process of shedding what never truly belonged to you. Throughout our lives, our surroundings and lifestyles impose burdens, beliefs, and habits upon us that we carry as if they were our own. This title suggests that you can lose these unnecessary weights without guilt; as you develop a fresh, practical perspective, you naturally begin to drop the conditioning you were taught but never truly learned. It is “infinite” because as we grow, we continually discover new layers to peel away, gradually leaving behind everything that isn’t our authentic truth.
LiFT: When did you realize that you wanted to be a writer, and what was your inspiration behind it?
Priy Yuvraj: To be honest, I never set out with the intention of becoming a writer or an author. I don’t view writing as my profession; rather, it is a deeply personal passion—a way for me to express my thoughts and share what I know. My inspiration to transition these thoughts into books came when I realized the difference between temporary and permanent expression. While social media is vast, people often lack focus there. I saw that when someone possesses a physical book, an e-book, or an audiobook, they truly engage with the message. I wanted to give people the benefit of carrying these ideas with them, whether they prefer reading on digital platforms like Kindle, Kobo, or Apple Books, or listening through Audible and Spotify. For me, writing is simply the best vessel for that expression.
LiFT: Where do you see yourself ten years down the line in the world of literature?
Priy Yuvraj: Predicting exactly where I will be in ten years is difficult, as life and creativity are always in flux. However, I believe that if I continue to work constantly and with unwavering dedication, I will naturally find myself in a much better position than where I stand today. My goal isn’t necessarily a specific title or status, but rather the growth of my contribution to literature. If I remain committed to expressing these deep philosophical truths, I see myself having built a much larger, global bridge between my thoughts and the readers who need them, reaching people across every digital and physical platform available.
LiFT: How important do you think marketing and the quality of a book are in promoting it and increasing its readership?
Priy Yuvraj: For me, marketing and quality are the two pillars of a book’s life, but they serve very different purposes. Quality is the soul of the work; if the content doesn’t offer genuine value or a fresh perspective, no amount of promotion can sustain it in the long run. However, I recognize that even the most profound thoughts need a bridge to reach the reader. That is where marketing comes in—not as a tool for “selling,” but as a way to create visibility across platforms like Audible, Amazon, and Spotify so that the right person can actually find the book. Ultimately, quality builds the author’s reputation, but strategic marketing ensures that the message doesn’t remain silent.
LiFT: What message do you want to convey to people through your writing?
Priy Yuvraj: The core message I want to share is that true freedom doesn’t come from what you accumulate, but from what you are brave enough to let go of. We spend our lives building identities out of borrowed ideas and social labels, thinking that the more we “know,” the more secure we are. But through my writing, I want to show that this security is often just a sophisticated cage. I want people to realize that they have the right to look at the world with their own eyes—without the filters of conditioning, fear, or guilt.
I hope to convey that life isn’t about reaching a final destination of “perfection,” but about the constant, living process of unlearning. I want to encourage readers to move from being a “believer” to becoming a “witness.” When we stop clinging to the safety of our old beliefs and start observing life with a rational, pragmatic mind, we find a clarity that is much more powerful than any inherited knowledge. Ultimately, my message is that peace and truth aren’t things you find in a book or a sermon; they are what remain when you finally drop the unnecessary burdens that were never truly yours.
LiFT: What do you do apart from writing?
Priy Yuvraj: To be honest, writing isn’t my primary job or a rigid priority; it’s something I do because I truly enjoy it and have a passion for expressing what is on my mind. My daily life is actually quite full with other pursuits. I am currently focused on my higher education and spend a great deal of time studying and reading a wide variety of books.
Beyond my academic life, I am deeply involved in looking after our foundation, an NGO where we work on social welfare. I also have a keen interest in modern creativity and technology, particularly exploring how AI can be used to rationalize thoughts and analyze content more deeply. When I’m not working or studying, I find balance by playing games and practicing meditation to keep my mind sharp and centered. All of these activities—the NGO work, the study of technology, and the personal reflection—feed back into the insights I eventually share in my books.
LiFT: What activities do you resort to when you face writer’s block?
Priy Yuvraj: Since writing is a passion rather than a forced obligation, I don’t really struggle with “block” in the traditional sense. If the flow pauses, I simply step away to focus on my other interests—whether that’s my studies, the NGO, or meditation—to keep my mind free and clear. Once I feel refreshed, I take a piece of rough paper and map out how the flow should connect and what will make the thoughts truly relatable to people.
LiFT: Are you working on your next book? If so, could you tell us something about it?
Priy Yuvraj: Right now, I am not working on any new book; I believe in letting thoughts mature naturally rather than forcing them. If a new project comes to light in the upcoming days, I will certainly return to share it. For now, I am focused on my recent publications, such as The Art of Inner Revolution and Love: Not a Bond, but Consciousness. In my work on love, for instance, I don’t try to tell people what love is; instead, I explore what love is not. I want to challenge your perception and ask: is what you feel truly love, or is it just a title you’ve been taught to use to legitimize your own behavior? For me, writing is always about that kind of honest, rational inquiry.
