Oh, c’mon now, don’t give me that look. I know, its quick. I haven’t given you time to think about buying the other book I have said in my recent review. But man, I really can’t stop myself after reading the sweetest yet brilliant book. Guess which one?
It’s ‘The Little Prince’ by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Yayyy!!
Am literally grinning here as I type it. This time, am not gonna let you escape from buying this book. It is just Rs 99, not even the price of your cappuccino and this tiny, little book will occupy only till you take the last sip of your coffee but trust me, the little prince is going to cling in your heart just like the taste of coffee on your lips. Aww, am already missing my little prince. Hope I see him soon!!
First things first: anyone can read this book. You cannot just restrict this book for the kids, I mean seriously, grown-ups have still got a lot to learn. And they don’t like advices so what choice do they have but to read a book. This story will let you know about the world and life of the grown-ups in the eyes of the protagonist, our little prince.
I am gonna share the lines which I loved the best. I just can’t resist myself from this. Here it goes.
“You are beautiful, but you are empty,” he went on. “One could not die for you. to be sure, an ordinary passer-by would think that my rose looked just like you – the rose that belongs to me. But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses: because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen; because it is for her that I have killed the caterpillars (except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies); because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled, or boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing. Because she is my rose.”
Did you read it? I know, it is a little long but then, I also know you love it. Oh dear, how I wanna be his rose, the one that belongs to him! Trust me, if a man is gonna take me as his rose and utter these lines, he is the one. Ah right, just another bookish girl dream!!
Enjoy the book. Happy reading you all!
